Websites for Smart Phones
Don’t forget your mobile users!
Some people think that a mobile site is simply your regular site created with properly formatted XHTML and CSS.
But there is a little more to it than that.
Mobile design isn’t just about pages that degrade gracefully. It’s also about usability for the handheld visitor. Remember, they are on a tiny screen and not all of them are touch screens either. How the information is displayed, what information is displayed, in what order, and how the navigation works are vital to good design for the mobile user.
Consider adding a package for your mobile visitors to your website design and development project. Think about what a mobile visitor may be coming to your site for and build around that. At the very least, make it so that the contact page is easy to get to via handheld.
Usability involves making your site viewable on any browser. So don’t forget your visitors with a mobile browser!
