A sampling of past website work
Here is as small sample of websites created over the years. Each site is designed per client specs and with their feedback. Every site is designed to reflect that organization and attract their target audience. If you don't see your style here, that's ok. We can handle a wide variety of looks and feels.
Most of our more recent sites took another designer's creation and we primarily handled the coding and assisting with website copy and SEO.

Sites Launched in 2011
This Forensic Laboratory had a site that was created in Flash by another designer. The owner, upon learning that a full Flash site doesn't show on iPhones or perform very well in search engines, came to us to convert the site to HTML pages. We took the existing design and made graphic and writing recommendations and improvements, and converted the site to a WordPress site. We then imported their blog from Blogger into WordPress to improve their site's SEO rankings.

Red Spruce Capital, an investment services firm, did not have a website. They needed something that could be done quickly and economically. They purchased and HTML template that we customized. For example, we provided different art, added an extra slideshow, changed the email newsletter signup form, and added and formatted written content and images to all the new pages.

This wedding site was designed and coded by another professional web designer. She reached out to us to add a slideshow to the home page, and take over making further code changes to the site. We created this custom slideshow, including creating the slideshow arrows by pulling from the art already used onthe site. We then made recommendations for future changes to the site that will improve search engine rankings and accessibility.

Pan-Gaia already had a site, but the look was dated and didn't have online shopping. The owner purchased a WrdPress template subscription from Elegant Themes, and we heavily customized this template. Extra functionality was added such as image magnifcation for products, and the ability to add many more product options per item sold. We took the original template's look and modified it to reflect the owner's unique taste.

DigiPoi is a new site for two entrepreneurs that have improved on existing technology for performing artists. We created a custom look for them, and applied it to their nopCommerce (shopping cart) site. This website has online shopping and a blog, and a contact form. We heavily customzied the code the shopping cart template comes with to match the logo they wanted. We took the logo that was a rough from another artist, and give it the polish to create what you see now.

Rachel Blaufield had this website designed and developed by another party, and she has big plans for the site. But this WordPress site needed a lot of love. We did some troubleshooting to fix some problems the site had that were bothering her, cleaned up the theme's code, and made a number of changes to the site's layout at her request. Now she's got a site that is much more in line with her groove!

Sites Launched in 2010
This Dallas area law firm had a specific look and feel in mind. They wanted to increase the amount of content they had up for SEO purposes. This went from around a 15 page site to about 168 pages. The site makes it very easy for potential clients to find information about the firm and on the subject they want help with.

Patricia wasn't quite sure exactly what look she wanted, so we spent some time talking to determine what would be right for her. She thought maybe a black and white scheme with a touch of color would be nice. She knew she wanted an open and uncluttered site. We hit up on the idea of a Zen sand garden. This site sand design is actually a collection of about 4 different photos that were modified to match each other in color.

Nancy Lorenzen wanted a very different site from the usual attorney website. She understands that many people feel intimidated and uncomfortable around attorneys and she wants her clients to feel relaxed with her. We found colors and imagery that conveyed a sense of warmth and reassurance.

All Dallas Maids has an eco-friendly focus. We choose earth tones, woods, and sandy textures to suggest the environment. We used a green fabric and wood floor to suggest the interior of a home. Other imagery (photos and illustrations) were used to further remind the audience this is an earth-friendly housekeeping service. This particular site is a highly customized template package.

CalmSoul is a new business venture with need of the full package. The owner had colors and a logo concept in mind. From there, GeekArtist handled everything but the written content she provided. Site includes a custom logo, shopping cart (Soholaunch), assistance learning about social networks, a favicon, and site promotion.

Lorenzen Chiropractic Clinic has been with us since 2006. The clinic is seeing an increase in new clients due to GeekArtist's SEO work. When we first took them on, they already had a logo and brand identity. They just needed a site to reflect that and assistance with site copy. We've recently taken their old design and layout and made minor changes to update the look, and improve navigation. Ongoing maintenance includes SEO and SEM, including writing site content for SEO, and producing print advertising and marketing materials.

This site has been around for a while. We felt it was time to update and simplify the design and layout. The site is primarily a Wordpress blog with some static pages . There are also Paypal and Zazzle shops available. We handle everything for the site. This site averages over 25,000 unique visitors per month.

Cema had a web developer who needed someone to give the site a good look and have search engine friendly HTML. Cema Midas' strongest focus was a site that was appealing to women and young adults. The dev created the site contact form and now handles site updates.

Tradewaiter is a new project in the works. Tradewaiting involves comic books and graphic novels and the owner wanted a look that had bright, primary colors and a cartoonish feel to it. We created the design and layout and the logo.

Sites Launched in 2009
This non-profit had a large site that needed an updated look and made easier to navigate. They also wanted to begin incorporating social networking and an RSS feed to promote the organization's events and keep the membership informed. The site keeps the same layout while using a total of 6 different looks and feels for the site to match the themes of earth, air, fire, water, Spring and Fall. Upcoming projects include a transition to a WordPress powered site.

This is a WordPress blog for GeekArtist Web Solutions. I spent much of my early career as a technology educator so this blog struck me as the most useful for my clients and potential clients. I wanted a theme that worked for the concept while still using the business colors for branding purposes.

What does a geek want as a wedding gift? A pretty website! Chris is a good friend that is a database administrator. She wanted her wedding invitations and RSVPs entirely online, but hosted on her domain. Chris handled the database and most of the PHP while we handled the design and layout. Chris provided color options which were narrowed down to the current scheme, and we found a font that reflects her style. We suggested having a different photograph at the top of each page, but keeping them with the mask theme of the costume party wedding for site consistency.

He wanted deep green, so that was incorporated with gray to give it a bit of a professional look. We needed action in the header art to keep the site visually interesting, demonstrate how exciting the video games are, and to show off some of the work he did. We did everything for this but create the screenshots of the games and the portfolio items he has presented.

Sites Launched Before 2009
Much of Kirk's work is in black and white, so we decided to create a site that incorporated his work and the black and white color scheme. Creating thumbnails in the shape of a circle helped reflect his unique style.

The owner runs three different businesses and wanted the rainbow swoosh incorporated as his logo. He wanted a consistent web page and marketing look for all three businesses, so we worked in the color scheme on all pages. We handled everything from logo to copy text for this site.

This is a game mod built by a team of students from the SMU Guildhall program. They already had the artwork, so it was just a matter of building a site to reflect the game. Car imagery was placed to appear to be moving off the page header to provide a sense of motion and some visual interest.

This company is located in a small town and wanted a warm, welcoming site to reflect their style. Further, the agency wanted to get away from the cluttered, busy look of many real estate sites. They described the look they wanted as "casual elegance". They also needed a simple means to display featured real estate. We handled design and layout, and gave them the logo they had in mind.

This site was created during Janice's time as a subcontractor for Verizon SuperPages through TAC Worldwide. Salomon Jewelers knew they wanted a marbled look on the left and that they needed a site showing opulence and elegance. Rollover navigation included a glowing ring.
